Baked Apples
Ingredients
4 Apples
(Variety of your choice - we suggest Cortland or Honeycrisp)
1/4 cup Brown sugar
1/8 cup Maple syrup
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/4 cup pecans (optional)
Directions
Core apples (cut out the core) to make a space for the filling. Leave the bottom intact to hold the filling.
Mix the butter, sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, raisins and pecans in a bowl.
Stuff cored apples with the filling.
Put apples in a buttered baking dish.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-45 minutes or until apples are tender (depends on the variety used).
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
