Gluten Free Apple Crisp


  • 6 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup of almond flour
  • 2/3 cup rolled quinoa flakes
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In a buttered baking dish arrange apple slices and sprinkle with lemon.
  3. Stir together sugar, almond flour, quinoa and spices. Using fingertips, blend in butter.
  4. Sprinkle over apples in dish.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes (or until apples are soft, time varies depending on the variety of apples used)
  6. Serve with ice cream or 35% cream.
